You built Amazon into a trillion-dollar empire. Tuesday, Andy Jassy told 1.56 million of you:

"AI does your job better."

The loyalty was never mutual:

AI is coming for white-collar work faster than anyone expected.

Andy Jassy didn't sugarcoat it in his memo Tuesday:

"We will need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today."

Translation: Your role might not exist in 2027.

• 27,000 Amazon employees already cut since 2022
• Corporate workforce shrinking "in the next few years"
• Employees told to "get more done with scrappier teams"

Amazon is just one of many.

Shopify CEO now requires employees to prove they can't use AI before requesting more headcount.

Klarna shrunk their workforce by 40% using AI tools.

The message is clear:

Adapt or become obsolete.

But here's what most people are missing:

Humans who know AI are taking jobs from humans who don't.

Jassy's advice to his own employees:

"Learn how to use AI tools and experiment."

The window is closing fast.

People are debating whether AI will replace workers. Meanwhile, most of the workforce doesn't understand these tools. Smart employees are already learning to work alongside it.

AI will change your industry.

The question: will you be the one using it or the one being replaced by someone who is?
